Inside Mariska Hargitay's $8.7 Million NYC Home Where She Lives with Husband & Kids: 'It's Merry Disarray'

Mariska Hargitay, known for her remarkable performance on "Law and Order: SVU," has been captivating audiences for over two decades. Throughout her career, she has had the unwavering support of her husband, Peter Hermann. Their love story began in November 2001 on the set of the hit drama series. Hermann had a guest-starring role, catching the attention of Hargitay's co-star, Christopher Meloni, who played Detective Elliot Stabler. Meloni immediately noticed the sparks between Hargitay and Hermann.

In June 2006, their family grew with the arrival of their first child, August. Hargitay faced health challenges during her pregnancy, including gestational diabetes and needing an emergency C-section. Despite these difficulties, she embraced the experience and eagerly anticipated becoming a mother.

As Hargitay's career soared, the family resided in impressive New York City properties. They owned a penthouse purchased in 2008 for 7.1 million, later selling it in 2020 for 7.1million,latersellingitin2020 for 13.5 million. In 2010, they acquired a stunning mansion in East Hampton, featuring 11 bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a pool, gardens, and a guesthouse. Currently, the Hargitay-Hermann family lives in a beautiful Upper West Side townhouse, bought for $8.7 million in the late 2010s.
