Young talent Max Jorgensen has inked a deal with Rugby Australia and the Waratahs until at least 2026, thwarting interest from National Rugby League teams. Jorgensen made an impressive entry into Super Rugby Pacific last year at just 18, scoring two tries in his debut match. Despite earning a spot in Eddie Jones' Wallabies Rugby World Cup team, an unfortunate injury sidelined him. The son of former Wallaby Peter Jorgensen was a target for the Sydney Roosters but chose to stay in rugby union. Full of promise, Jorgensen is excited for upcoming events like the British & Irish Lions Series and the 2027 World Cup. Rugby Australia's high-performance director, Peter Horne, and Waratahs boss Darren Cole expressed their excitement to support Jorgensen's development and see him succeed on and off the field.
